My background
Maria Monica Carrero was born in Bogotá, Colombia and was raised in the U.S.A.
Daughter of an impressionist artist Hernando Carrero , who likes to paint the human figure and the nature doing beautiful landscapes.
Her father study arts in The Andes University in Bogota- Colombia and as well in The City Literature Association of London and studied with Cecill Collins a great teacher of art, where he learns different techniques. From an early age he like it to paint enjoying the colors.
She learn from her father some techniques of art lessons and as well and she add her own style.
At the school while she was growing receive classes of dance, music and like it to do sports. Some times after the school her father take her to play tennis with him, as he was a great sport player of tennis in Bogotá.
After she finish the school she decided and get interested to study Journalism and Mass Communication in Bogotá with classes of art history too at La Sabana University.
After a while she moved to the USA and enrolled at the college to learn english languages, she also get involve to work with the industry of Airlines as her mother.
But, she never forget the time shared doing beautiful artworks, so she start again after some time to work in USA with the industry of art, involving her with these industry doing art exhibitions in Florida at art galleries and events of art.
She develop and build her artwork with the time. Finding as well passion for music and learning to dance ballet.
She likes to create works of art using different techniques, styles and materials to give live and forms to her compositions of art in all sense.
The art materials are specially choosen finding inspiration in the ancients techniques to give shape and texture to her creations. Using metals such as bronze, iron, aluminum and wood among others, to transform beauty to each creation getting inspiration in the alchemy.
She was being interviewed for her works of art and merits in her social works for humanity.
Hers works of art are entirely handmade with a high and difficult technique that has captured the attention of critics, inspiration and recognition for its depth and originality.
In this way, she managed to sell her works of art in different parts of the world such as the United States, Morocco, Mexico and Colombia, reaching an international recognition in her evolution as an artist and human being for her heart and desire to help humanity. Through her art sales she makes donations to help children in need, affected by violence and sexual abuse as well as she likes to support and help animals.
She likes to learn and educate herself for her evolution and preparation to constantly progress by also studying Real Estate in Florida to integrate with art.
Currently she find her self writing a book about her life based on a true story.
